- to rack one’s brains = to think, really, really seriously.

- to make somebody’s hair stand on end = to frighten somebody very much.

- he’s always getting his tongue in his cheek = he doesn’t take anything seriously.

- What’s the news ? it’s good ! (or “the news is good!”) WATCH the SINGULAR.
